Tips para lavar la ropa del bebé con Dreft / Tips to wash baby clothes with Dreft

Los primeros días de un bebé son tan caóticamente perfectos, que el tiempo parece girar sólo en torno a este pequeño ser que llegó para cambiar las vidas de todos los miembros de la familia, en medio de biberones, pañales olorosos y ropa sucia… mucha ropa sucia.

Si antes se tenía una rutina de lavado de ropa, ésta tiene que ser drásticamente modificada, pues no sólo el bebé se cambia a veces hasta 6 veces al día, sino quienes lo cuidan también. Y ni se diga la acumulación de sábanas, toallas y cobijitas que se ensucian.

Para nosotros siempre fue importante elegir un producto que estuviera libre de cualquier ingrediente que pudiera causar alergias en nuestro bebé, así es que desde la primera lavada la hicimos con Dreft.

The first baby’s days are so chaotically perfect, that the time seems to revolve just around this new life that came to change the lives of all family members, in the middle of baby bottles, stinky diapers and dirty laundry… a lot of dirty laundry.

If you had before a laundry routine, this must be drastically modified, since not only you have to change the baby many times a day, but also yourself. And don’t even talk about all those dirty sheets, towels and baby blankets that keep piling up.

For us it was always very important to select a product free of any ingredient that could cause our baby any kind of allergies, so since the first load we used Dreft.

Así es que cuando me invitaron a participar en esta campaña, en realidad ya tenía bastante experiencia con el producto. Lo que yo no sabía es que ahora hay una nueva línea que se ajusta a las diferentes necesidades de lavado según la etapa por la que se está pasando.

Lo cual hace perfecto sentido, pues no es lo mismo las manchas que hay que quitar cuando el bebé sólo consume leche a cuando empieza a consumir alimentos sólidos.

So when I was invited to participate in this campaign, I had already experience with the product. What I didn’t know is that now they have a new line that adjusts to the different laundry necessities that come with each baby’s stage during the first years.

This makes perfect sense, since is not the same to treat just milk stains than dealing with all the food that gets in their clothes when they start eating solids.

Para quienes no conocen la nueva línea, ésta se divide en los siguientes tres productos:

–  DREFT NEWBORN (Etapa uno): Antes de que nazca el bebé y durante sus primeros meses, se puede utilizar este producto, que es el que ya conocíamos, que es hipoalergénico, es muy eficiente para eliminar las manchar, pero a la vez cuida la ropa y es suave con la piel del bebé.

–  NUEVO DREFT ACTIVE BABY (Etapa dos): Este producto es nuevo y está pensado en la etapa de crecimiento en el que se encuentra el bebé. Elimina el 99% de las manchas de comida y otra suciedad que pudiera pegarse a la ropa del bebé en su proceso por “descubrir el mundo”. Su fórmula también es hipoalergénica y con el aroma característico de la marca.

– NUEVO DREFT BLISSFULS (Etapa tres): También recientemente lanzados al mercado. ¿Extrañas ese olor a ropa de bebé? Ni los niños más grandes ni los adultos tienen por qué limitarse al olor que ofrecen otros detergentes. Con estas esferas de Dreft la ropa de toda la familia tendrá es nostálgico aroma.

For those who don’t know the new line yet, it includes three different products:

– DREFT NEWBORN (Stage One): Expectant and new parents can wash their little one’s fabrics with Dreft’s same hypoallergenic formula, designed to be tough on stains and gentle on baby’s skin.

– NEW DREFT ACTIVE BABY (Stage Two) : Specially designed with a growing, developing baby in mind, helps to remove 99% of baby food stains and other outdoor messes with gentle, hypoallergenic formula and fresh scent.

– NEW DREFT BLISSFULS (Stage Three): These in-wash scent boosters gives families the baby fresh scent. Safe on fabrics, these beads help bring back that nostalgic baby scent.

 

 

Y aprovechando, aquí les dejo unos cuantos consejos para tratar las manchas típicas de la ropa del bebé, las cuales suelen ser a veces más problemáticas ya que es mejor no usar otro tipo de químicos que pudieran causar reacciones alérgicas en nuestros pequeños.

• ¡No esperes a que sequen! Regla general para cualquier mancha, frótala con agua y con un poco de detergente lo más pronto posible, intentando que salga la mayor parte de ésta antes de echarla a la lavadora.
• Manchas de leche materna o fórmula: Remójalas en agua fría para que la mancha afloje. Guillermo toma fórmula y con Dreft nunca he tenido problema en sacar una mancha de leche con las lavadas normales en la lavadora.
• Manchas de comida: Retira con agua y jabón lo más que puedas de la mancha, luego coloca la prenda en un recipiente con agua fría y un poco de detergente a remojar durante la noche. Lava normalmente.
• Manchas de aceite de bebé: Puedes intentar colocando sal sobre la mancha para que absorba la grasa. Frota la sal y déjala al menos una hora. Retira con agua caliente, si no ha salido deja la prenda remojando en agua caliente con un poco de detergente.
• Manchas de frutas y vegetales: Si es una mancha rebelde que no ha querido salir remoja la prenda en una mezcla con mitad de vinagre blanco y mitad agua. ¡Suerte con éstas!

 

And talking about laundry, I’ll give you some tips to get rid of those typical baby stains, which sometimes are very stubborn and with which we don’t want to use any kind of chemicals that could cause an allergic reaction on our baby’s skin.

• Don’t let them dry!  General rule for every stain, rub it with water and a little bit of detergent as soon as possible, trying to get most of it out before you throw the garment in the washer.
• Breast or formula milk stains: Soak them in cold water. Guillermo drinks formula milk and with Dreft I haven’t had any problems at all to get them out washing his clothes in the washing machine.
• Food stains: Rub with water and soap most of it, and then soak the garment in cold water with a little bit of detergent overnight. Throw in the washing machine and wash normally.
• Baby oil stains: You can try rubbing the spot with salt to tray to get the oil off. Leave it with the salt at least half an hour. Wash with hot water and if its still there, soak overnight with hot water and detergent.
• Fruits and vegetables stains: If it is a difficult stain and it hasn’t disappeared, soak in half white vinager – half water. Good luck with these!
