En los años que tengo en Miami nunca había entrado a la Casa Casuarina, la mansión que perteneció al diseñador Gianni Versace, así es que el haber asistido durante Swim Week a la presentación de la colección de Mara Hoffman Summer 2016 fue realmente un lujo.
La colección estuvo inspirada en su visita al Jardin Majorelle en Marruecos, logrando un estilo que evoca la estética marroquí y la transforma en prendas ideales para usarse en los más calurosos veranos.
Y tuve la gran fortuna de verla no sólo expuesta, sino de entrar backstage a admirar todo el proceso previo a esta impactante presentación.

In the years I have been living in Miami I had never visited the Casa Casuarina, the mansion in which the designer Gianni Versace used to live, so being there during Miami Swim Week for Mara Hoffman Summer 2016 Collection presentation was such a privilege.
Inspired by her trip to the Jardin Majorelle, designer Mara Hoffman’s Summer 2016 Collection embodies Moroccan style and transform it in ideal pieces to be weared during the most hot summers.
I was so lucky that I could not only see the presentation but be backstage where I admired all the process previous to this amazing show.
El maquillaje estuvo a cargo de Sephora Pro para Sephora Collection, y como se puede apreciar en las fotografías fue un smokey eye en tonos fuertes, sobre una piel bronceada y con un acabado luminoso.
The beauty look was created by Sephora Pro for Sephora Collection, and how you can see in the pictures it was a sultry eye and bronzed skin with a luminous finish.

Pro tip: Para darle a tus mejillas dimensión y estructura, juega con los múltiples tonos de polvos para contorno, colocando la sombra más oscura debajo de tus pómulos. Para dar el efecto de un bronceado suave aplica el luminizer líquido en forma de C alrededor de los ojos y sobre los pómulos.
Pro Tip: To give your cheeks dimension and structure, play with multiple contour shades focusing the darkest shade in the hollows of the cheek. To add a sun kissed glow, apply liquid luminizer in a C shape around the eyes and tops of the cheekbones.

Pro tip: Para una mirada sensual utiliza una brocha para difuminar el delineador alrededor del ojo. Finaliza con generosas capas de rímel.
Pro tip: For a sultry look use a smudge brush to smoke out the kohl liner around the eye and inner rim. Finish with generous coats of mascara.

Pro Tip: Cubre tus labios con la base utilizando una brocha para labios para eliminar cualquier tonalidad roja que tengas naturalmente para crear el labio nude. Luego pon en capas los tonos de beige y café claro para crear un aspecto tridimensional. Aplica el polvo para un aspecto mate y para mayor duración.
Pro Tip: Pat foundation on the lips with a lip brush to tone down any redness when creating a nude lip. Layer two tones of beige and light brown lipsticks to create a tridimensional lip. Blot with powder for a long-lasting matte finish.
Para el peinado, TRESemmé creó un look súper exótico con mucho volumen y rizos, que lució maravillosamente con los grandes accesorios como aretes, pulseras y mascadas que llevaban las modelos, así como con las prendas llenas de hermosos estampados.
For the hair, TRESemmé created a super exotic look, with a lot of volume and waves, that was perfect with the big accesories, like the earrings, cuffs, head scarves and pieces with lots of prints that the models wore.
GET THE LOOK:
1. Section hair and lightly mist with water until damp. Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Mousse from root to end then layer TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Sea Salt Spray through the lengths of each section to set the foundation for voluminous waves.
2. Diffuse hair with blow dryer to bring out hair’s natural texture while creating volume.
3. Take small sections starting at the nape of the neck and curl them using a 1⁄4” barrel curling iron. Mist each section with TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hold Hair Spray to prevent curls from falling.
4. After curling each section, grab the ends in one hand and use the other hand to open up the curl. Continue this until entire head is curled and fluffed.
5. Set the look with another mist of TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hold Hair Spray.
6. Add a head scarf for a chic, summer look.
