Sinceramente, no soy de las que les importa que las vean o aparecer en una fotografía sin una gota de maquillaje, pero de que ayuda darse aunque sea una manita de gato, ayuda.
Por eso, ahora que mis amigas de Mary Kay me enviaron el libro #Bella del maquillista Luis Casco con más de 50 looks de belleza rápidos y fáciles de crear para un buen selfie, se me antojó, cual si fuera libro de recetas, ¡probarlos todos!
Y es que es innegable, en esta época en la que cualquiera está prácticamente todo el tiempo expuesto a las cámaras, el fotografiar bien, o al menos lo mejor que se pueda, ha cobrado una relevancia que quizás antes no tenía

I really don’t mind being seeing in person or in pictures without a drop of makeup, but I need to say that it really helps at least to have some on.
So, when my Mary Kay friends send me Luis Casco’s book #Beautiful (I got the Spanish version) with more than 50 quick and easy beauty looks for a good selfie, I wanted to try them all! Just as if it was a recipe book.
And it is undeniable, that in this age, in which almost everyone is exposed all the time to the camera, looking good in the pictures, or at least try, is more relevant than ever.
Así es que como Mary Kay me lo puso muy fácil y me envió los cosméticos necesarios para que probara dos looks distintos, empecé con #naranjacrush que lo puedes encontrar en la página 43 del libro.

Así fue como empecé, sin gota de maquillaje / So, I started just like this:
Siempre, absolutamente siempre, preparo primero mi rostro con el huile de jeunesse divine de L’Occitane, que es el secreto con el que conservo mi cutis bien cuidado. Es un producto caro, pero vale lo que cuesta hasta la última gota.
Luego apliqué la CC Cream de Mary Kay, que es otro de mis productos favoritos de todos los tiempos y que religiosamente uso cuando quiero verme más arreglada, pero no tengo la necesidad de aplicar una base con mucha cobertura.

Always, absolutely always, I prepare my face with the huile de jeunesse divine from L’Occitane, which helps me to keep my skin in the best condition possible. It is an expensive product, but it is worth it to the last drop.
After that I applied the Mary Kay’s CC Cream, another of my favorite all time products, and that I use when I want to look good, but I don’t need a very heavy product.

Empecé con las sombras, primero colocando el tono bronce por debajo de las pestañas inferiores y pegada a las superiores, y después difuminé la sombra por debajo del hueso que marca la cavidad ocular.

I started with the shadows, first applying the copper shadow underneath of my inferior lashes and on the superior ones, then I applied some on the crease blending with the brush.
Después coloqué el color dorado por encima de los lagrimales y en el párpado. En un inicio me pareció que estaba demasiado fuerte el color, así es que con la misma brocha lo fui difuminando.

After that I applied the golden shadow on the corner of the eye and the eyelid. In the beginning I found it too dark, so with the same brush I blended it.
Para terminar con los ojos, apliqué dos capas de rímel. En esta ocasión como quería un look muy natural, decidí no pintar mi ceja y dejarla completamente como es.

To finish I applied two layers of mascara. This time I wanted a very natural look, so I decided not to paint the brow an leave it just how it is.
Para dar color y definir las mejillas primero apliqué con una brocha gorda los polvos bronce por debajo del pómulo, y después coloqué el tono naranja en la bolita donde se forma la mejilla y el color más claro a manera de iluminador por debajo de los ojos.
Los polvos bronce también los coloqué en la frente por debajo del nacimiento de mi cabello, para suavizar la forma cuadrada de mi rostro.

To give some color and define my cheeks, I applied first with a wide brush the bronzer underneath the cheekbone, and after that I applied an orange shadow on the cheek apple and the lighter color as a highlighter above the apple and underneath the eyes.
Al colocar el color naranja inmediatamente mi rostro se iluminó, como puedes ver. Como quedó demasiado marcado, una vez más difuminé con la brocha.

When I applied the orange color my face immediately looked lighter, how you can see. How it was too defined, I tried to blend it with the brush.
Y para el toque final, sólo apliqué brillo labial en un tono durazno. No hubo necesidad de usar delineador o ningún otro labial con más cobertura. De hecho el gloss hizo que el maquillaje luciera sumamente natural y apropiado para el día.

And for the last touch, I just applied the lip gloss in a peach color. I wasn’t necessary to use a lip pencil or a heavier lipstick. As a matter of fact, the gloss made the make up more natural and suitable for the day.
Y ahora sí, ¡lista para el selfie!
Cuando tengo que tomar fotografías de este tipo elijo una pared blanca que esté frente a una ventana, para que me dé la luz natural de frente, y antes de colocarla en mi cuenta de instagram sólo controlo la temperatura, las sombras y las luces, así como la nitidez.

When I have to make pictures of this kind, I always try to choose a white background in front of a window, so I can have natural light, and before I upload it to my Instagram account I control the temperature, the shadows, lights and the sharpness.
