Hace unos meses fuimos a un evento de la colección de Ellen DeGeneres para Gap al que nos invitó nuestra amiga Valentina Guerrero, una de las pequeñas modelos que desfilaron sobre esta pasarela.
Valentina es una dulce niña con todo el carisma del mundo que la ha llevado a ganarse miles de corazones haciendo algo que a su corta edad disfruta muchísimo hacer: modelar.

Months ago, we went to the launching of Ellen DeGeneres collection for Gap, invited by our friend Valentina Guerrero, one of the young models who took the catwalk.
Valentina is a very sweet girl, with all the necessary charm to touch thousands of hearts doing something that at her very young age she enjoys very much: modeling.
Así como a ella, vimos desfilar a varias pequeñas que con su personalidad única se llevaron nuestros aplausos al final. Cristina no sólo gozó el evento, sino que se llevó una lección muy importante para su vida: somos perfectamente bellos en nuestra imperfección.
Y es que fue un desfile muy especial, pues más que ver a cierto tipo de niña que cumpliera con un patrón de belleza establecido, encontramos una hermosa diversidad entre las participantes.

Just like her, we saw some other girls walk with such unique personalities that they just melted our hearts. Cristina not only enjoyed this event so much, but she took home a very important lesson for her life: We are perfectly beautiful in our imperfection.
This was a very special fashion show, because instead of seeing a type of girl that fulfills certain beauty patterns, we found a beautiful diversity among the participants.
Cristina no cuestionó, no preguntó, y con sus ojos de niña lo único que hizo fue divertirse, modelar ella misma en el photo booth del evento, comer galletas con leche, desfilar ella sola cuando la pasarela estuvo desocupada y bailar junto con los otros niños.
Cristina didn’t ask and the only thing she did was to have so much fun, she did different poses herself in the photo booth, ate cookies and milk, walked on the catwalk when anybody else was there and danced with the other children.
Sí, porque en cada uno de nosotros existe la belleza y está en nuestras manos encontrarla, aceptarla y celebrarla.
